Amb. Dr. Benjamin M. Rugangazi

Amb. Dr. Rugangazi Benjamin M. is an entrepreneur and leader in government and academia. He is currently the Executive Manager of Nema Company Ltd in Rwanda. With a career starting in Veterinary Medicine in 1982, he later led Tri-Star Investments and served as Rwanda’s Ambassador to China and High Commissioner to Tanzania. He holds a PhD in Veterinary Science from the University of Nairobi and a Business Management Certificate from UCLA. He has published academic work and serves on the board of Mayfair Insurance

Ms. Rita is the Chief Human Resource Officer at AOS Ltd since 2015, focusing on HR strategy and operations. She has held key roles in KT Rwanda Network, RDB, RITA, and Kigali Institute of Education. As former Director of e-Government, she coordinated national ICT initiatives. With expertise in project management, policy, strategic planning, and M&E, she has significantly contributed to Rwanda’s ICT sector. Rita holds a bachelor’s in computer science from Bangalore University and an MSc in IT (Computer Science & Software Engineering) from the University of Rwanda.

Director

Mr. Mainnah holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi and is an alumnus of INSEAD, France, with training in Risk Management in Banking. He retired in 2012 as Group Head of Enterprise Risk at CBA after 38 years of service. With deep expertise in business management, credit, and risk, he currently offers consultancy in strategic leadership and risk management. He also serves on various educational boards and provides financial leadership to charitable organizations.

Ms. Eugenia is the Executive Director of IPAR Rwanda since 2014. She previously worked at Commercial Bank of Rwanda for over 10 years in roles such as Credit Manager and Risk Management Manager. She holds a Social Sciences degree from Makerere University, an MBA from Maastricht School of Management, and is pursuing a PhD in Strategic Management. Eugenia has professional training in risk management and serves on the advisory board of the African Portal and the National Independent Review Panel (NIRP) for RPPA. She regularly participates in regional and international policy forums.

Ms. Julianne K. Kayonga has served as Starbucks FSC Regional Manager since 2016. She previously worked with ACDI/VOCA Rwanda on food security initiatives and consulted on environmental impact assessments for USAID projects. She also served as a Rural Finance Specialist for USAID Rwanda. Julianne holds a Master’s in Natural Resources Development and a Certificate in Advanced International Affairs from Texas A&M University, as well as a Law degree from the National University of Rwanda. She brings strong expertise in sustainability, rural development, and international

Dr. James Ndahiro

Director

Dr. James Ndahiro joined the Board of Directors in November 2023, bringing deep expertise in finance, governance, and development. He played a key role in establishing the Rwanda Stock Exchange and currently advises the Ministry of Finance on capital markets. A former member of the East African Legislative Assembly, he also champions Alternative Dispute Resolution in Rwanda’s judiciary. Despite visual impairment, his leadership and innovation continue to drive national progress.

Mr. Deogratius Kamurase is the Founder and Managing Director of Business Dynamic Consult Ltd, a business and investment advisory firm. He previously served as Rwanda Country Manager for One & Only Resorts. With 18 years of leadership experience, he is skilled in stakeholder engagement, project execution, and strategic partnerships. Deogratius holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Makerere University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Wales Cardiff. He has also served on boards across the telecom, banking, tourism, and hospitality sectors.

Hon. Abdirahin Haithar Abdi

Hon. Abdi served as Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly (2007–2012) and was a member from 2001. He played a key role in advancing legislative, oversight, and representation efforts to promote regional integration. He holds a BSc in Business Administration (Finance) and has received Presidential awards and international appointments for his distinguished service to Kenya and the East African region. A seasoned businessman with multi-sectoral experience, he also holds directorships in various companies across both the public and private sectors.
