Mark holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Heriot Watt University United Kingdom, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Bachelor’s Degree of Business Administration from Ndejje University and an Advanced Diploma in Corporate Lending from The London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF) and Fellow of Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services. 

With over 25 years’ experience in the Financial and Audit Services sector, Mark joined NCBA Bank as Executive Director in 2018 from ABSA Bank (formerly Barclays Bank) where he held several executive positions both in Uganda and South Africa including Head of Global Corporate, Head of Local Corporates and Head of Business Banking.  

Mark has worked on attachment with ABSA Capital in South Africa, DFCU Bank and KPMG.  

After the merger of NC Bank and CBA Bank in June 2020, he was appointed to be the Executive Director, Corporate & Structure Solution, a position he held until 15th December 2021 when he was appointed Ag. Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and was confirmed as Chief Executive Officer of NCBA Bank Uganda in June 2022. 

 He is a graduate of the Sunwords Fast Forward Leadership Programme; the Effective Director Programme at Strathmore Business School; the Executive Leadership Programme by McKinsey & Company; the Harvard ManageMentor Programme; and the CEO Apprenticeship Programme of Uganda. He is also a Certified Coach from the Academy of Executive Coaching (AoEC) and a Rotarian. 

Mr. Konyani is a seasoned professional with over 19 years of comprehensive experience in Banking and Management. His leadership journey spans various banks in Tanzania, including CRDB Bank PLC, NMB Bank PLC, United Bank of Africa (T) Limited and; NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited.

Notably, he played a pivotal role as the country project lead for the successful integration of NIC and Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA), culminating into NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited in July 2020. In March 2021, he was appointed as Executive Director and Board member at NCBA Bank (Tanzania) Limited, responsible for business development until September 2023. He also serviced as the Acting Managing Director & CEO for NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited from July 2022 to December 2022.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from University of Dar Es Salaam. He is also a certified director by Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IODT) and; a trained Project Management Professional (Prince 2). He is also a graduate of the Strathmore University Business School Senior Management Leadership Development Program and is currently pursuing Executive Leadership Development program by Carrier Connections.

Mr. Ikopit is an experienced business executive with over 30 years’ experience in the Petroleum, Telecommunications and Fintech sectors with experience spanning both financial and commercial domains, and has held several senior positions across Africa and the Middle East within multinational organizations.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting) from Makerere University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School. He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). The organizations in which he has held senior management positions include Virgin Mobile (in South Africa and in Kuwait), MFS Africa, MTN (Group, Iran, Sudan and South Africa) and Safaricom in Kenya. He has previously held directorships with MTN Publicom, MTN VillagePhone, Digital Mobile TV (Joint Venture between MTN Group and Multichoice in South Africa) and Save App (Kenya).

Ms. Kavuma is a financial services practitioner and strategy professional. She previously served as the Country Manager of XENO Investment Management, Kampala. Gladys Kavuma has over 15-years’ experience in the financial services industry and has led teams across Africa in Strategy, Business Development, Digital Transformation, Project Management and Treasury Management functions. 

She holds a B. Com Economics & Finance degree from the University of Cape Town, as well as various certifications in Strategy from Harvard Business School Online, Investment Management, Investment Operations certifications and Risk from CISI (UK) and has completed the Private Equity & Venture Capital Programme with Strathmore Business School. She is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments UK. She is a Director of Santa Maria Hotel Entebbe and Dezy Business Systems Limited.

Patricia Onyango is currently an independent financial services consultant and development finance professional. Patricia has previously served in senior roles at the Trade and Development Bank based in Nairobi, Kenya; the dfcu Group and the Uganda Investment Authority. Patricia holds an MSc. (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Stirling, Scotland, U.K., and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance, Hons) from Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. She also holds certifications in Leasing, Credit Risk Management, Project and Infrastructure Finance Structuring and Sustainable Finance (University of Cambridge, U.K.). Patricia serves on the Boards of ICEA Lion General, Uganda Ltd and Financial Sector Deepening, Uganda, and is a member of the Investment Committee of the Yield Uganda Fund.

Mr. Lopokoiyit has a wealth of experience in finance, accounting, risk management, internal controls and corporate governance, having worked for over 20 years in various senior management capacities in multinational companies. Mr. Lopokoiyit holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Hons.) Accounting, from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Warwick Business School, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (ACMA). He has previously served on the Boards of reputable multinational companies both locally and abroad. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of ICEA LION General Insurance Company Limited and a Director at NCBA Group PLC and formerly a Board member of British America Tobacco (BAT), Uganda, BAT Kenya and BAT Nigeria.
