Nanyuki, Kenya – September 25, 2026. NCBA Bank has intensified its focus on helping customers build, preserve and transfer wealth, bringing its Meet, Mingle & Money Talks series to Nanyuki as part of a broader strategy to expand access to wealth management advisory services beyond Nairobi.
Through NCBA Wealth Solutions, the Bank offers customers access to investment planning, insurance, property finance, income replacement and portfolio diversification solutions aimed at supporting long-term wealth creation and preservation. The engagement brought together over 100 Emerging Affluent and High Networth customers and financial specialists to discuss the growing importance of wealth planning, succession and financial resilience.
The engagement focused on the evolving financial needs of customers as they progress from earning and accumulating wealth to investing, protecting their assets and planning for future generations.
Commenting on the engagement, NCBA Group Director, Retail Banking, Dennis Njau said meaningful banking relationships should go beyond transactions, particularly as customers’ financial needs become more complex.
“Financial success is not simply about earning a good income. Building lasting wealth requires discipline, planning and informed decisions. As customers grow their incomes, businesses and investments, they need to think not only about how to earn more, but also how to invest what they have built, protect it against the unexpected and ultimately pass it on to the next generation,” said Njau.
The discussions explored the importance of understanding individual financial goals, risk appetite and investment timelines when making wealth management decisions. Customers also engaged on a range of considerations including structured portfolio advisory, property finance, income-generating assets and portfolio diversification.
Njau noted that a balanced wealth strategy should account for both present needs and longer-term objectives.
“Liquidity gives customers access to funds for immediate needs, while income-generating assets can provide a steady flow of income and long-term investments can create value over time. When considered together, these elements can help customers build financial resilience while working towards goals such as retirement and legacy planning,” he said.
The conversations also highlighted wealth preservation as an important, but sometimes overlooked, part of the wealth journey. As assets accumulate, customers need to consider how they can protect what they have built, manage potential risks and ensure that unexpected events do not undermine years of financial progress.
Succession and estate planning formed another key part of the discussions, particularly given the potential challenges families can face when transferring wealth between generations. Njau encouraged customers to begin these conversations early, noting that clear estate plans can provide greater certainty around how assets are managed and transferred.
“It is never too early to start thinking about how your assets will be managed, protected and transferred. Having these conversations early can provide clarity for families, help preserve generational wealth and ensure that the value created through years of hard work continues to benefit those who come after you,” he said.
The Nanyuki engagement is part of NCBA’s broader effort to bring financial expertise and advisory-led conversations closer to customers across the country. The bank’s branch network has now surpassed 100 branches in Kenya, supporting its ambition to serve customers across different regions and stages of their financial journeys.
Taking Meet, Mingle & Money Talks beyond Nairobi also allows NCBA to better understand the aspirations and financial priorities of customers in regional markets while providing access to its wealth management expertise closer to home.
Through NCBA Wealth Solutions, the bank provides customers with access to solutions spanning investment planning, insurance, property finance, income replacement and portfolio diversification, supporting customers across the different stages of their wealth journey.
“Meet, Mingle & Money Talks is more than an event. It reflects our belief that with the right knowledge, advice and financial solutions, customers are better positioned to shape their financial futures. This is closely aligned with our purpose of Banking on Belief: Empowering Ambitions,” said Njau.
The Meet, Mingle & Money Talks series will continue to provide opportunities for customers to engage directly with NCBA specialists, ask questions and access practical insights as they navigate their financial and wealth journeys.
